The DS04-NFC continuous rotation servo motor is designed for projects that need controlled rotation rather than precise angular positioning. Unlike a standard positional servo (typically limited to ~180°), a continuous rotation servo behaves more like a compact geared DC motor with a built-in control circuit. You command it using a familiar RC-style PWM signal, and the servo translates that signal into rotation direction and speed. This makes it a practical choice for small robot drive systems, conveyor/feeder mechanisms, rotating displays, camera sliders, valve/knob turning experiments, and general DIY automation where “turn and keep turning” is the goal.
This kit includes multiple servo horns (including a multi-arm/star horn and round horns) plus mounting screws, enabling straightforward mechanical integration. The included horns let you choose the best interface for your build—direct wheel attachment, linkage drive, belt/pulley coupling, or custom 3D-printed adapters.
Continuous rotation control is based on a neutral (center) PWM command where the servo stops, and offset commands where it rotates. In most RC/PWM ecosystems, the control signal is a repeating pulse train (often around 50 Hz), where pulse width determines the command. For continuous rotation servos, pulse width is interpreted as:
Because neutral calibration can vary by module revision and manufacturing tolerance, you may need to fine-tune the “stop” command in software (or via a trim control on some controllers). When used with microcontrollers, ensure your PWM timing is stable and that your power supply can handle startup/stall current without brownouts.

For Raspberry Pi and other 3.3 V logic systems, the PWM signal is often compatible, but power must be provided from a separate 5 V-class servo supply (do not power a servo directly from a GPIO pin). Always connect grounds together between the controller and the servo power supply to ensure a valid signal reference.
