The 130 Micro DC Motor (3V–6V) is a compact, lightweight brushed DC motor widely used in DIY toys, small robotics, and educational projects. With its classic 130-size form factor and high-speed performance, it’s ideal for building or repairing Arduino smart cars, mini gear-driven mechanisms, small fans, vibrating projects, and creative prototypes where space is limited.
This motor is a great choice for makers because it’s easy to power and control: apply DC voltage to the two terminals and it spins; reverse the polarity and it spins the opposite direction. Pair it with a motor driver (L298N, L293D, TB6612FNG, DRV8833, etc.) to control speed via PWM and direction from a microcontroller.
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Motor Type | Brushed DC motor (130 size) |
| Operating Voltage | 3V–6V DC |
| Body Size | 20 × 15 × 28 mm (approx.) |
| Shaft Type | Round metal shaft (typical 130 motor) |
| Terminals | 2 solder tabs |
| Use Cases | Toys, robot cars, mini fans, mechanisms |
Note: RPM, torque, and current draw vary by batch and load. For best results in vehicles, use a gearbox or wheel adapter suited for 130 motors.
Direct power: Connect to a battery pack within 3V–6V range.
Direction change: Swap + and – wires to reverse rotation.
Speed control with Arduino/ESP32: Use a motor driver + PWM output for adjustable speed and safe current handling.
