The MG90S Micro Servo Motor (180° Position Control) is a compact and dependable analog RC servomotor built for projects that require accurate angle positioning rather than continuous spinning. It’s ideal for robot arms, steering systems, pan/tilt brackets, RC models, animatronics, and DIY mechanisms where repeatable motion matters.

This 180° version rotates to a commanded angle and holds position using internal feedback control. With standard RC PWM servo signals, you can easily control it using Arduino/ESP32 servo libraries and most RC receivers.

How 180° Position Control Works (PWM)

A positional servo interprets PWM pulses as a target angle:

  • Typical frequency: ~50 Hz
  • Pulse width range: ~1.0 ms to ~2.0 ms
  • Around 1.5 ms is commonly near the center position

Wiring (Standard 3-Wire Servo Cable)

Typical color mapping:

  • Brown / Black: GND
  • Red: VCC (4.8V–6.0V)
  • Orange / Yellow: PWM Signal

Power Notes (Recommended)

Servos can draw higher current during movement and under load. For best performance:

  • Use a separate regulated 5V supply when possible
  • Always share ground between the servo and controller
  • Avoid powering heavy loads directly from small onboard regulators

Key Benefits

  • 180° positional control for accurate angle movement
  • Micro size for compact robotics and RC builds
  • PWM control compatible with Arduino, ESP32, and RC receivers
  • Plastic gear design keeps weight low for hobby and education use
  • Accessories included for quick mounting and setup
