Description

A 100kΩ carbon film resistor rated 1/4 W with ±5% tolerance, in the standard through-hole axial package. It pushes straight into a breadboard, fits every Arduino and Raspberry Pi tutorial, and solders into any 2.54 mm perfboard.

Typical uses for 100kΩ: pull-ups, pull-downs, LDR and sensor voltage dividers.

Reading the bands

Brown, black, yellow, gold reads 100kΩ at ±5%. Hold the resistor with the gold band on the right and read left to right. When in doubt, measure with a multimeter before soldering.
