The TEMT6000 ambient light sensor measures brightness the way people perceive it. Its phototransistor is filtered to approximate the human eye’s spectral response, so readings correspond to how bright a room actually looks - better than a bare LDR for lux-style measurements.

Wire the three pins (VCC, GND, SIG) and read the analog output on any microcontroller: perfect for auto-dimming displays, daylight-responsive lighting, plant-light monitoring and weather stations. The tiny board tucks into enclosures and behind panels easily.

Typical specs: ~570nm peak response, wide 60° acceptance angle, 3.3-5V supply.
