Description

Companion to the QD005 Water Ball Launcher. This is the target only; the launcher and the QD001 car are sold separately.

The QD006 Electric Scoring Target is a free-standing electronic target box. Three sensing targets of different sizes sit inside a mesh housing; each hit is registered and shown on the LED score display, and the mesh catches the water balls so they are not spread across the room. It turns the QD005's shooting projects into a game with rules, timing and a score – which is exactly what keeps a class engaged.

What it adds

Automatic scoring – hits on each target are detected electronically and counted on the display.
Three target sizes, so near and far shots can be worth different points.
Ball catcher – the mesh housing collects the balls for reuse.
Competition projects: timed runs, best-of-ten, two cars alternating, or an obstacle course that ends at the target.

Setup

No assembly: unfold, place and power over USB (a phone charger or power bank will do). It works with the QD005 launcher on the QD001, and with any other soft gel-ball launcher.
