Description

Requires the ACEBOTT QD001 ESP32 Smart Car (sold separately). This pack contains the expansion parts only – no car, controller board or batteries.

The QD005 Water Ball Launcher Expansion Pack mounts a motorised launcher on top of the QD001. The launcher fires soft water-polymer balls (the same gel balls used in gel blasters) that burst harmlessly on impact, and sits on a servo so it can be tilted to aim. Combined with the car's Mecanum drive it makes a drivable, aimable target-shooting robot – and with the QD006 Electric Scoring Target, a competition.

What it adds

Motorised firing from the IR remote, the ACEBOTT app or your own program – single shots or bursts.
Servo aiming – the launcher tilts to track a target or lob over an obstacle; ACEBOTT quotes roughly 250 mm of travel at the muzzle.
Game projects: shooting gallery, timed target runs, two-car battles with the QD006 target keeping score.
With the QD002 Camera, aim and fire from the live video feed.

This listing includes the standard supply of water-ball crystals plus one extra booster pack, so you are not out of ammunition after the first afternoon.

How it fits

The launcher and its tilt servo bolt to the QD001's top plate with the bracket and standoffs supplied and plug into the car shield. No soldering; about 15 minutes with the QD001's screwdriver and the assembly video. Lessons cover the firing circuit, servo aiming and remote control in ACECode and Arduino.

Safety

Wear the goggles. Never fire at people or animals, and keep the muzzle pointed away from faces when loading. The balls are non-toxic and biodegradable but are a choking hazard – keep them away from young children and pets. Recommended for ages 12+ with adult supervision.
